South and Central America

South & Central America vaccinations requirements

south-central-americaRequirements for these parts of the world can change periodically due to changes in yellow fever and malaria advice.

In general, yellow fever is required in South America but not Central America.

Please inform us of your exact destinations when you contact the clinic so that exact requirements can be given.

Please note that yellow fever is only available in our City clinic.

Central America vaccines usually advised are: diphtheria, polio, tetanus, hepatitis A and typhoid - £165.00

South America vaccines usually advised: as above with yellow fever - £235.00

If you will be travelling through rainforest, trekking or mountaineering, you will likely need malaria prophylaxis as well as other recommended vaccinations. These can be discussed with the doctor.

Some vaccinations require boosters to be effective so please call us as early as possible before travelling to ensure you have enough time to complete any longer vaccination courses.

If other vaccinations are required, the price list is as follows:

1   Hepatitis B: 50.00 per vaccination (two boosters required)
2   Rabies: 50.00 per vaccination (two boosters required)
3   Japanese encephalitis: 180.00 for full course (two boosters required)
4   Cholera: 50.00 per dose (two doses required)

Please contact us to make an appointment or to discuss your requirements.

* Please note that most information will need to be given in consultation with a doctor and limited information can be provided over the phone.
