Guide to Pre-employment

Pre-employment Medical Screening

Corporate pre-employment medicals can help your company prevent costly sick leave, ensure suitability for a position, check for drug and alcohol abuse and look after the welfare of your staff.
In many industries such as security, transport and construction, pre-employment medicals are a legal requirement and a precondition for insurance.

Our clinics have 15 years’ experience working with a large number of companies to protect them and their staff through thorough medical examinations. Our service is an excellent reflection on your company and we will do our best to make your employees feel comfortable and assured.

How long will my medical take to complete?
Most employment medicals take up to an hour with the doctor. If you need to have a chest x-ray, this will take an additional 30 minutes.
Our clinics can usually give you an appointment within 24 hours. Appointments are available 7 days a week in Harley Street and 5 days a week in City of London. If you require an x-ray and want a weekend appointment, you will need to pay a weekend supplement as our usual x-ray department is closed.
The majority of medicals are available within 24 hours. Some medicals require stool or urine cultures, which can take up to 72 hours. If your medical requires malarial or filarial antibodies, this increases the turnaround time to 10 working days. You can receive your medical by email, post or collection.
