Our History
Walk-in Clinic was founded in 2008 by Dr Enam Abood, who envisioned convenient and accessible private healthcare. At the time, accessing private healthcare was arduous and expensive.
She wanted to provide same-day appointments, affordable testing and clear fees to support new users of private healthcare and to support patients who needed services unavailable on the NHS.
Since then, Walk-in Clinic has supported over 150,000 patients with their primary care needs. In 2022, we helped almost 7,000 patients with blood testing through our safety-netted self-referral programme, allowing patients to take control of their health and avoid needing a GP referral.

We believe good medicine doesn’t end when the appointment finishes.
If you need a follow-up, we arrange it. If the results are abnormal, we contact you. If symptoms evolve, we reassess. Our doctors take responsibility for ongoing care rather than passing patients from service to service.
