Visa Medical Explained

A visa medical is a health assessment requested by the St Kitts & Nevis government to ensure that incoming long-term residents or workers are free from communicable diseases and are medically fit to live and work in the country.

The medical assessment includes mandatory HIV testing, with results typically available within 24 hours.

In addition to the general examination, it is advisable to ensure your routine vaccinations, such as Hepatitis A and Typhoid, are up to date.

A yellow fever vaccination certificate may also be required for travellers aged 1 year or older if arriving from a country with a risk of yellow fever transmission.
