Then, according to the Spanish Consulate, you are required to produce a medical certificate confirming you are free from any diseases that could pose a public health risk under the International Health Regulations (IHR) 2005.
You can expect to undergo a chest X-ray (to check for TB), blood tests (to check your liver function and for diseases like HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and C), and a series of urine tests (one of which is an urinary pregnancy test and to screen for other transmissible illnesses). However, depending on your visa category or if the consulate requests it, additional testing may be necessary.
