Visa Medicals > Ghana Visa Medical
If you are a UK citizen planning to visit or work in Ghana, you will be required to undergo a medical examination as part of your visa application process.
Our clinic provides fast, reliable, and fully compliant and consulate-approved Visa Medical services to help you meet the Ghanaian High Commission’s health requirements.
You will be required to have a Yellow Fever Certificate (i.e. proof of yellow fever vaccination) when travelling to any yellow fever risk area like Ghana.
You will also need to undergo a physical exam and a series of other tests (blood tests, stool tests, and a chest X-ray) to check for infectious diseases like HIV and TB. All with which we can assist you with.

It is also recommended that you are up to date with routine vaccination courses and boosters as recommended in the UK.
These vaccinations typically include the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and diphtheria-tetanus-polio vaccine.
Since Malaria (Plasmodium falciparum) is prevalent in Ghana, it is just as important to ensure your antimalarial precautions are up to date.
Preparing for your visa medical exam can make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. Here are our top tips to help you get it right the first time:
Use our online booking engine or book your appointment by giving us a call.
On the online booking engine select the “appointment type” you need.
You will be seen by one of our friendly doctors or trained clinicians.

When you come to see us at the City Walk-In Clinic, please bring a passport-sized photo and your original passport so we can confirm your identity. If you do not have your passport with you, a driver’s licence will work just fine instead.

Our doctor will conduct a comprehensive examination, alongside a thorough review of your medical history. Be prepared to have a sample of your blood drawn, to provide a stool sample, undergo a chest X-Ray, as well as having a Yellow Fever vaccination or booster administered.

You will receive a full medical report with all the details from your examination within the appropriate timeframe, ready for you to review.
