Barbados Visa Medicals

Medical for immigrant visa for Barbados

Information about medical testing required for those applying for a Barbados visa

All visa applicants wishing to live or work in Barbados are required to undergo a medical assessment at a government-designated clinic on arrival. In advance of this medical, and to speed up the process once you arrive, you will also need to have some tests in the UK before you travel:

  • Mid-stream urine test
  • Syphilis blood test

We can perform these tests for you, with results in 2 – 3 days. You can prepare for your Barbados medical by ensuring that your vaccinations are up to date. Make an appointment to speak to one of our doctors if you are unsure of your vaccination history or if you need boosters. Routine vaccinations should be up to date, and Hepatitis A and Typhoid vaccinations are also advised.

What to do next

Please bring your passport with you, and a passport-sized photo. This allows us to verity your identity and provide the relevant information to the embassy.
