Full STD Screening in Central London

Check Symptoms & Get Treated

Our City of London walk-in clinic, located in close proximity to Bank, Liverpool Street, Fenchurch and Aldgate, offers a comprehensive range of sexual health tests for peace of mind and wellbeing.

Located in the heart of London’s financial district, our clinic is next to the landmark Gherkin Tower (30 St Mary Axe). We are conveniently within walking distance of tube stations Bank, Liverpool Street, Fenchurch Street, and Aldgate, and accessible by many bus routes, or by car (ten minutes’ drive from St Paul’s, the Barbican, and Farringdon). Our City of London clinic has devised a full sexual health screen package to cover all major sexually transmitted infections, including those that can stay in the system for periods of time without any symptoms.

Our package includes:

  • HIV antibodies – this looks for the antibodies that are produced in response to the presence of HIV infection in the body
P24 antigen, early HIV detection – this can detect HIV earlier than the antibodies test (within 10 days) as it looks for the virus protein itself
  • Syphilis VDRL
  • Hepatitis B surface antigen – many people have had hepatitis B vaccinations which produce hepatitis B antibodies, and these will show up in most tests. Instead, we test for the virus protein, which will reveal whether or not you have an active hepatitis B virus.
  • Hepatitis C antibodies
  • Herpes simplex
  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhoea
  • Bacterial culture of the urethra or vagina – this looks for any bacterial infection, sexually transmitted or not, including ureaplasma and mycoplasma

FAQ

How will I get my test results?

We offer you the choice of how you receive your results. We can organise for a doctor to call you on the telephone, or you can receive them by email, post, or in-person.

Does my partner need to be tested?

If you or your partner are experiencing symptoms, it is advised that you both are tested, as you can pass an infection back and forth. During treatment, you may be advised to abstain from sex or only practice safe sex until you both have your results and are both clear.

What happens if any of my test results come back positive?

In the event that you need treatment, your prescription will be included in your consultation fee. You will be able to discuss your results with the doctor, who can advise you on any important measures and what to do next.
