Visa Medicals > British Virgin Islands Visa Medical
Planning on temporarily or even permanently moving to the British Virgin Islands (BVI)?
Then you are required to undergo a visa medical examination as part of your application process.
Our FCO-registered clinics offer a comprehensive and stress-free visa medical service tailored to meet the BVI’s immigration requirements.
The BVI government typically requires a medical certificate to confirm that you are in good health and free from communicable diseases.
The visa medical process is fairly straightforward, and typically requires a physical examination, blood tests (full blood count and biochemistry), urine tests, and a chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis (TB).
Communicable diseases (also known as infectious diseases) are illnesses caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi that can be spread from one person to another, either directly (coughing, talking, touching, kissing, sexual contact) or indirectly (touching contaminated surfaces or objects).
Examples of bacterial communicable diseases include Tuberculosis and gonorrhoea. Viral communicable diseases include hepatitis B and HIV/AIDS. And one of the most well-known parasitic communicable diseases is malaria.
