Visa Medicals > Cyprus Visa Medical
In 2023, approximately 1.3 million British citizens visited Cyprus.
Even though UK citizens typically do not require a visa or medical examination to enter Cyprus for short stays of up to 90 days, you will need a visa (and a medical examination) if you intend to stay in Cyprus for work, study, or residency.
We provide comprehensive visa medicals tailored to meet the requirements set by Cypriot authorities and ensure your paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently. Our clinics are FCO-registered and offer transparent pricing, so you never have to stress about unwelcome bills at your doorstep.
Before your appointment, it is recommended that you refrain from drinking alcohol or use recreational drugs, as these can affect your test results.
It is also highly recommended you try and get a good night’s sleep, as studies have actually shown that poor sleep can affect up to 40% of blood test outcomes.
Plus, be sure to bring all the papers you need, like your passport, visa application forms, and any medical reports or prescriptions.
When travelling to Cyprus for longer than 3 months, you will typically be screened for HIV/AIDS, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, and TB, depending on your specific visa.
Other vaccinations to consider (though not compulsory) include the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, the diphtheria-tetanus-polio vaccine, and pre-exposure rabies vaccinations.
The latter is especially important if you are at increased risk due to your work (e.g., laboratory staff working with the virus or those working with bats).
Although there are strong ties between the UK and Cyprus, a long-term visa medical is still required as to:
Use our online booking engine or book your appointment by giving us a call.
On the online booking engine select the “appointment type” you need.
You will be seen by one of our friendly doctors or trained clinicians.

Remember to bring your valid passport or driver’s license, along with a recent passport photo. If you were provided with any specific medical forms that need to be completed, bring those to your appointment as well.

Your examination will include a blood test, so it is important to wear comfortable clothing to make the blood draw process easier. Depending on the type of visa, a chest X-ray may also be required.

Your results will typically be ready within 48 hours. If any abnormalities are detected, we will discuss them with you.
