If you are moving to Japan for employment, academic study, or long-term residence, you may be required to undergo a medical examination as part of your visa application.

A standard Japanese visa medical includes a physical examination (covering height, weight, BMI, vision, and blood pressure), along with a chest X-ray for tuberculosis screening and a urinalysis. All required tests will be performed on the same day by a UK-licensed doctor.
Your medical history will also be thoroughly reviewed as part of the process. While blood tests are not typically required for Japanese visa applications, we can arrange additional tests if requested by your employer or the Japanese authorities (for a supplementary charge).
