Turks And Caicos Islands Health Requirements

The Turks and Caicos Islands welcomed approximately 8,541 visitors from the United Kingdom in 2023.

Even though UK citizens travelling to the Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) do not typically require a visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days. If you are planning on staying longer (like working or residing) in the TCI, a visa medical is required.

TCI Health Certificate Recommendations

In order to obtain your Certificate of Good Health as part of the visa application process, you will need to get a physical examination, blood tests to check for Syphilis, HIV, and Hepatitis B, urinalysis, a urine drug test, a possible ECG (if you are over the age of 40), and a chest X-ray to check for TB (tuberculosis).

The purpose of a visa medical is to ensure that you do not carry transmissible diseases that could pose a threat to the population of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Moving To Paradise

Our FCO-recognised clinics offer a comprehensive medical assessment service tailored to meet the specific health screening requirements set by the Turks and Caicos Immigration Department to help make your move to Turks and Caicos as smooth as possible.

Our medical team is experienced in completing immigration medicals in line with Caribbean immigration authority standards. We also ensure all forms and reports are correctly completed to avoid processing delays.

Who is authorised to carry out my visa medical in the UK?
Your visa medical should be completed by a GMC-registered doctor (General Medical Council) at a FCO-registered clinic like ours that offers visa medical services.
How long is the medical certificate valid for in the Turks and Caicos visa process?
Your medical certificate is usually valid for 3 to 6 months from the date of issue. If there is a delay in your visa processing or travel plans, you may need to repeat the medical if the certificate expires.
Will my medical history affect my ability to get a visa for Turks and Caicos?
Not necessarily. Having a medical condition does not automatically disqualify you. The goal is to ensure you are not carrying a communicable disease that could pose a public health risk.
