Removal Process

To remove an IUD, the provider will first insert a speculum into your vagina to clearly visualise the cervix. Using a special instrument, the provider will then grasp the IUD strings.

Finally, the IUD will be gently pulled out through the cervix. It should come out easily, although in some cases, a bit of manipulation may be necessary.

Choosing The Right Contraceptive

After removing your coil, it is important to choose the contraceptive method that best suits your needs. If you are thinking about starting a family soon, you might prefer methods that allow for a quick return to fertility.

On the other hand, if you are not quite ready to have children, take the time to consider the effectiveness of various options in preventing pregnancy. Whether you are considering a new IUD, an implant, or the pill, our team is here to support you every step of the way and provide the caring guidance you need.
